MYERS, Susie E. - Mrs. Sue E. Myers, aged 86 years, died very suddenly of heart failure at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ora Slate, in the Edgewood community Sunday night, September 9th. She had been in apparently good health until a few hours of her death. Funeral services and burial were held at the Coffelt cemetery Monday afternoon, Rev. F.A. Bradshaw conducting the services. She is survived by two sons, Frank and Cal Myers of Vaughn and by three daughters: Mrs. Jess Buttram of Colorado; Mrs. Sadie Clement of Missouri and Mrs. Ora Slate of the home; also by one stepson, Sam Myers of Elm Springs and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mollie Robinson of Missouri. Mrs. Myers was born in Missouri January 4, 1842. Mr. and Mrs. Myers came to Arkansas fifty years ago and located near Van Buren. They later moved to Washington county and finally to Benton county about 25 years ago.

Susie E. Myers was born in Calloway county, Missouri January 6, 1842 and died very suddenly of heart failure at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ora Slate Sept. 9, 1928. Funeral services were held at the Coffelt cemetery Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. F.A. Bradshaw conducting the services. She is survived by two sons, Frank and Cal Myers and by three daughters, Mrs. Jess Buttram of Colorado, Mrs. Sadie Clements of Missouri and Mrs. Ora Slate of the home; also by one stepson, Sam Myers of Elm Springs and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mollie Robinson of Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Myers came from Calloway county, Missouri to Arkansas about fifty years ago in which they lived most of their time in Benton county in and around near Dug Hill, seven miles north of Bentonville. There she professed faith in Christ and united with the Christian church at Dug Hill.-Contributed.
