*Obituary

Wesley Edward Price completed his earthly journey June 4, 2021.

For the 59 years he was part of our family, he taught us much and enriched our lives greatly. Wes was born with Downs Syndrome August 27, 1961. As one of God's special children, he was loved and cared for by his parents, Shirley and Ed Price until they preceded him in death. Then, in 2014 his sister and brother-in- law, Jonie and Steve Mallett, lovingly became his caregivers,

While working hard to overcome limitations imposed by illness, Wes demonstrated daily the importance of living one day at a time.

First and foremost, he loved his family. He also loved his church and his job at Work Force, until he was no longer able to do either. His focus then became interacting with friends and caregivers while enjoying his music and improving his writing skills.

Mercifully, his passing was at home, gentle and swift, surrounded by those he loved and who loved him. Thanks be to God.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at 10:00AM at Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

Shirley Ann Price, 74 of Greenbrier was born Dec. 16, 1939 to the late John Sr. and Evelyn Emmons.

She accepted Christ and His promise of eternity many years ago, but He used her to serve Him through her church, family, and friends until June 6, 2014.

Her time here was identified by the many names that she was known by. Her husband of 50 years affectionately called her "Shirl", she was "sis" to her sister, "grandma" to grandchildren, "Mrs. Shirley" to caregivers, and answered to "MiMi" by those who followed closely in her footsteps.

Shirley was a long time active member of the Church of the Nazarene at Greenbrier. She retired from the Federal Government as a IRS agent. After her retirement she served many in the community as a tax preparer. She served on the board of Independent Living Services.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Price; brother, John Emmons. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Wes Price of Greenbrier, David R. Price (Peggy) of Sherwood; daughter, Jonie Mallett (Steve) of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Dustin Price, Kristen Barger, Jordon Mallet, Spencer Mallett; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Summar of Little Rock; brother, Quince Emmons of Washington; other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier. Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow at Republican Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cure PSP Foundation, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201, Timonium, Md. 21093 (www.give.psp.org) or to Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene, 64 North Broadview, Greenbrier, Ark. 72058. For online guestbook, www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
