W. A. ( ABB) WHITTLE
William A. (Abb) Whittle, 66, 306 Caudle Ave., Springdale, died July 14 at home. Born Aug. 2, 1907, in Rogers, he was the son of Hartchel and Della Ellenbarger Whittle, a member of the Holiness Church, a retired truck driver, veteran of World War II, a member of Shelton-Tucker American Legion Post 27 and a lifetime resident of the area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oval Overton Whittle of the home whom he married March 12, 1940; one son, Harold Whittle, Springdale; one daughter, Mrs. Eddie (Vonda) Ledbetter, Pasadena, Tex.; one brother, Fay Whittle, Springdale, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Paul Eden and the Rev. Noel Foster officiating. Burial will be in Frimiship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
