MRS. MARY A. WHITTLE
Mrs. Mary Aline Whittle, 51, of 123 Sunnydale Drive, Springdale, died this morning in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 7, 1922, Fayetteville, she was the daughter of James Clinton and Oma Johnson Waits. She was married to Amos C. Whittle Aug. 19, 1946, in Ft. Smith, and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Johnnie Lane and James W. Whittle, both of Springdale; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Peggy) Phipps and Mrs. Phillip (Mary Jane) Shafer, both of Springdale; five brothers, Harold R. Waits, Bobby Waits, Joe Dale Waits and Jerry Waits, all of Fayetteville, and Leon H. Waits, Cane Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Lavonne) Cox and Mrs. Clarence (Geraldine) Bailey, both of Springdale; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.

A.C. "BILL" WHITTLE
Amos C. "Bill" Whittle, 56, of Springdale, died July 20 in the VA Hospital at Fayetteville. Born Sept. 15, 1921, at Lowell, he was the son of John Wesley and Ferbia Jane McGarrah Whittle and the widower of Mary Aline Waits Whittle. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver.

Survivors include two sons, James Wesley Whittle of Lowell and Johnny Lane of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Phil (Mary Jane) Shafer and Mrs. Leslie (Peggy) Phipps of Springdale; two brothers, Calvin Whittle of Rogers and E.E. Whittle of Springfield, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Vessell of Popular, Calif., Mrs. Orvil (Dorothy) Main of Springdale, Mrs. Wayne (Vesta) Main of Lowell and Mrs. Leon (Adene) Skaggs of Denair, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery near Greenland.
