Rogers — William Claud Lynch, 89, minister of the Free Will Baptist Church died yesterday in Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Lynch, a World War I veteran, was custodian for a local motor company for 17 years. He was born Feb. 28, 1893 in Clifty. Survivors are his widow, Ruth of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Zelda Lawson of Springdale and Mrs. Virginia Phillips of Rogers; two sons, Billy and Cecil, both of Rogers; five brothers, Joe of Springdale, Chester of Bentonville, George of Clifty, Lon of Tampa Tex., and Riley of Warrensburg, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Hardcastle of Taft, Calif.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral will he at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth May Lynch, 75, 1223 North B St., Rogers, died July 7 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1898, in Clifty, she was the daughter of Major and Susie Pittillo Todd, early pioneers of Madison County. She was the wife of the late Rev. William Claud Lynch, member of the Christian Church of Clifty and longtime resident of Clifty, having moved to Benton County in 1945.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil Lynch and Billy Gene Lynch, both of Rogers; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Phillips, Rogers and Mrs. Zelda Lawson, Springdale; two brothers, Charlie Todd, Clifty, and Frank Todd, Rogers; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Jones and Mrs. Vesta Archer, both of Hindsville; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Free Will Baptist Church at Fifth and Birch Streets in Rogers, with Rev. Cecil Garrison and Rev. Arther Lee Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
