BEST — William Henry "Billy H." Lynch, 87, of Best, Ark., died Feb. 23, 2013, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville, Ark. He was born June 19, 1925, at Clifty, Ark., the son of Chester and Helen Anderson Lynch. He was a farmer and was preceded in death by his parents. He was a fox hunter and later a coon hunter. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his veggies with anybody who came along. In his younger years, he helped many people dehorn their cattle, pull calves or whatever needed to be done, day or night. He loved to bale hay and take care of his cattle.

Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Mavis Oxford Lynch of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Ronal Obenshain of Hindsville, Ark.; one sister, Lena Phillips of Burkshed, Ark.; grandchildren, Kevin and Ashley Obenshain of Best, Ark., Keith Obenshain and Regina Obenshain, both of Hindsville, Ark., and three great-grandsons, Parker Obenshain and Preston Obenshain of Harrison, Ark., and Tyler Obenshain of Best, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Rambo Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Rusty Goss, Shawn Burkes, Kevin Obenshain, Keith Obenshain, Regina Obenshain and Ronnie Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be: Buzz Oxford, Tom Whiting, Sonny Smith, Ralphie Schrader, Larry Wade, Ashley Obenshain and Bill Sharp.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

BEST — Mavis Josephine Lynch, 86, of Best, Ark., died Feb. 21, 2016 at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale, Ark. She was born May 31, 1929 at Rambo, Ark., the daughter of David Lee "Dave" and Dovie Pearl Evans Oxford.

She was a dairy farmer for over 40 years and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family, friends and her cows, dog and cat. She was the widow of William Henry "Billy H." Lynch whom she married on June 29, 1946, and who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2013.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-Law, Wanda and Ronal Obenshain of Hindsville, Ark.; one sister, Ruth Frank and husband Arvin of Seligman, Mo.; one brother-in-law, John Fields of West Fork, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Rozaine Oxford of West Fork, Ark.; three grandchildren, Kevin Obenshain and wife Ashley of Best, Ark., Keith Obenshain and Regina Obenshain, both of Hindsville, Ark; three great-grandchildren, Parker Obenshain and Preston Obenshain, both of Harrison, Ark, and Tyler Obenshain of Best, Ark., and several nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Rambo Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Obenshain, Keith Obenshain, Regina Obenshain, Rusty Goss, Sonny Smyth and Ralphie Schrader. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Tom Whiting, Miles Anderson, Ashley Obenshain and Tyler Obenshain. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Brashears.
