Married James David Hicks
Sarah Ann Moses was born near Roanoke, Virginia, and spent most of her life near Dixon, Missouri. She and James David Hicks were the parents of five children: William Walter "Bill"; Edward Richard "Ed"; Janie Bell; Ella Sue; and Archie Read. She died at the home of one of her daughters near Norfork, Arkansas.

Mrs. Sarah A. Hicks, an old and respected resident of near Norfork, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Best, last Saturday. Rev. Jett conducting the services. Three sons and two daughter survied the mother.
(The old tablet-style marker was getting very hard to read; therefore, a second, small marker, was added on July 11, 2012 to help preserve the identity of the grave.)
