Services for Beulah Beavers Hicks of Norfork will be at 10AM Thursday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Hicks died Monday (Oct 4, 1999) at Mt. Home. She was 90.
Mrs. Hicks was born Nov 29, 1908, in Advance to William Henry and Ardell Ticer Daws. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Norfork. She was a member of the Lone Rock Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Beavers and wife, Wanda of Holden, MO; two daughters, Jessie Wood of Mt. Home and Marcia Shelor and husband, Bill of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Ardell Daws; her first husband, Evert Beavers, second husband, Alvin H. Hicks; four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9PM today at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8PM. Burial will be at the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Shelor, Brad Shelor, David Beavers, Lonnie Beavers, Glen Beavers, Janis Strouse and Jennifer Teed.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery.
