Louise Hicks, age 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Entombment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 7-9:00 P.M.
Louise was born September 15, 1925, in Lake City, Arkansas, to Joseph and Thelma Turner Hicks. She lived in Chicago, Illinois, from 1951-1993, where she worked with the Awana Club at Bethel Baptist Church. She retired to Mountain Home in 1993 and was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
Survivors are her sisters: Mildred McWirther: Manila, Arkansas; Ruby Walsh and Reatha Armes: both of Mountain Home; and Velma Carbonara: Woodridge, Illinois; and host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Wes Hicks and Cliff Hicks.
Memorials may be made to the Hope Center of Twin Lakes Baptist Church.
