Harper Byler Dies At 87
Harper Lee Byler, 87, Pea Ridge, died at his home Sunday. He was born Dec. 6, 1884, in Kansas City.
He lived in the Pea Ridge area for many years. He was a retired farmer and member of Providence Primative Baptist Church.
He is survived by five daughters, Jewel Maloney and Pearle Robbins, both of Pea Ridge, Leora McGinnis, Garfield, Easterlily Rubrecht, Cassville, Mo., and Isaloy Potter, Avondale, Colo.; three sons, Clellie Byler, Billings, Mo., E. J. Byler, Rogers, and Colyn Lee Byler, Garfield; 37 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Byler, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and three sisters, Mabel Sigler, Kansas City, Mo., Kitty Carroll, Tulsa, Okla., and Maggie Shaffer, Yakima, Wash.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge, with the Rev. 0. E. Coones officiating. Burial will be in Reddick Cemetery in Garfield under the direction of Cisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
