BYLER, James H. - {from Walnut Hill} James H. Byler was born August 2, 1824 in Cooper Co., Mo. and died Saturday, April 24, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 22 days. He professed a hope in Christ at the age of 16. Was married to Catherine Bailer and to this union were born fourteen children and of these, six survive him; four boys, Joe Byler of Oklahoma, Charlie Byler of Kansas, M.L. Byler of Silval Grove, Idaho, J.F. Byler of Garfield, where Grandpa Byler made his home; Mrs. Inez Perry of Elk City, Idaho and Mrs. Mollie Hartsell of Dade Co., Mo. His wife preceded him more than twenty years ago. Funeral services were held by Eld. John Taylor. At his request he was robed in the old fashioned robe and laid to rest in the Providence cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The broken hearted families have the sincere sympathy of our community for to see and talk with Grandpa Byler was to love him.
