Jennie Baker
Jennie Baker, 85, of Springdale, died Friday, Oct. 16, at a Springdale nursing center.
Born Nov. 10, 1906, in Indian Territory, Okla., to George Washington Murray and Nancy Elizabeth Whitely Murray, she was a homemaker and attended Gospel of Peace Tabernacle Church in Springdale. She moved to this area in 1950 from Mesa, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Henry Baker and four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are a son, Hoyle Baker of Wellington, Kans.; two daughters, Roberta Bennett of Springdale and Wanda Baker of Fayetteville; a brother, Albert Murray of Fulton, Mo.; a sister, Edna Butterfield of Galt, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Monday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Vernon Ables officiating. Burial is to be in Ruddick Cemetery at Garfield. Visitation is set for 3:30- 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home in Rogers.
