BAKER, Robert - The people of Rogers were shocked Friday morning to learn of the terrible death of Bob Baker, son of L.A. Baker, which occurred on Thursday night about ten o'clock. As nearly as can be learned from information given by those who saw him last, he must have attempted to board the berry train which pulled out just after the Cannon Ball left. The train was in motion and he evidently missed his footing and fell between the cars and was dragged several yards up the track. He was found lying in the middle of the track, face downward, with his body badly mutilated and his neck broken. He lived only a few minutes after he was found. The remains were interred in Rogers cemetery Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Brief services were conducted at the grave. The A.O.U.W. lodge of which he was a member attended in a body. The family have the sympathy of their many friends for the heavy burden of sorrow they have been called upon to bear the past year. The death of Robert Baker follows closely upon that of his sister, Jessie, and of his wife.
