BRANDON, T.V. - (from New Hope) The body of T.V. Brandon, father of Mrs. S.T. Davis, was brought here Saturday from Sweetwater, Idaho where he died October 27th. The funeral was held from the Davis home Monday morning and he was laid to rest in the Rogers cemetery by the side of his wife, who died two years ago. "Uncle Van," as he was formerly called, lived for several years on the farm now owned by E.D. Riddle and was well known and liked by many friends as was testified by the large crowd at his funeral and by the many beautiful flowers sent. His son, Joe Brandon, and wife came from Sallisaw, Okla. Saturday. Also his granddaughter, Mrs. Malissa Lea, of Billings, Mo. to attend the funeral. They all returned home Monday afternoon. Mr. Brandon was 78 years old and a member of the First M.E. church. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Gordon L. Grainger.
