Mrs. W. K. Forrest Dies Here Saturday
Mrs. Lula Forrest age 58, died at the family home in Calico Rock Saturday, January 3, at 6:25 p.m., following an illness of several weeks. She had been in failing health for several months.
Mrs. Forrest was born and reared in this county, being the daughter of the late James and Florence Crutchfield. In 1905 she was married to Wesley K. Forrest, to which union five children were born. Two sons preceded her in death. The family resided at Violet Hill for many years, moving to Calico Rock three years ago. Mrs. Forrest was a devout Christian. She united with the Methodist Church at Old Philadelphia at the age of 11, later moving her Membership to Forrest Chapel.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Gilliland of Calico Rock and Mrs. Nina Buchanan of Batesville and one son, Sterling Forrest of Calico Rock
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Forrest Chapel with Rev. W. T. Watson of this place officiating. Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery with Crouch Funeral Service in charge.
