Son of Wesley Kavanaugh Forrest & Lula Florence Crutchfield Forrest.
Married Goldie Delilah Cooksey, October 3, 1929, Izard County, Arkansas.

Sterling Doyle Forrest, 80 of Melbourne, died November 20, 1989 at Calico Rock Medical Center. He was a farmer and a member of the Forrest Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife Goldie Cooksey Forrest of the home; one son, Dariol Forrest of Melbourne; two sisters, Clara Kunkel of Wenatchee, Washington and Nina Trawbridge of Lafayette, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Beverly Barnes; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Barnes.
Services were held November 22 at Forrest Chapel Methodist Church with Loye Vern Mason officiating. Pallbearers were: Eugene Loggains, Curtis Loggins, Charles Cheatham, E. F. Lamb, Jr., Jim Miller and Ray Blevins.
Burial was at Forrest Chapel Cemetery with arrangements by Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Note: The obituary is shown as it was printed; however, the sister's surname should be spelled Trowbridge instead of Trawbridge as was printed.
