Addie May Beeson Harris, 95, of Fort Smith died Sunday, May 26, 2002, in a Fort Smith nursing home. (The daughter of William Harrison Smith and Ida May (Sublett) Beeson).
She was a homemaker, a former member of the Altus Methodist Church and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sealy, Texas. She was the widow of Hal Victor Harris Sr. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nichols Chapel Cemetery in Altus under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Fort Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Nina Abernathy of Fort Smith, Clara Schroeder of Sealy, Texas, and Kimie Harris of Midwest City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Ron Going, Shauna Bowlin, Ann Boxeur, Jamie Schroeder, Teri Burnham and Justin and Jason Abernathy; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
