Jodye Harris, 73, of Alma died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Texarkana and a self-employed artist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; four daughters, D.J. Lynch of Alexander, Debra Scott of Parrish, Fla., Peggy Tapey of Springdale and Patty Doss of Van Buren; a son, Robert Harris of Rogers; a sister, Louise Barnett of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Bud Townsend and Dr. Gene Townsend, both of Texarkana, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Neil Kelly, Ashley Evans, Daniel and Ryan Young, Kelsey Waggoner, Sydney and Thomas Doss.
