Annie Mae English, 94, of Altus died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in Ozark.
Born Sept. 19, 1913, in Ozark, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alfred and Grace Brown Sumner. She was a homemaker and an avid seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George English, and a great-grandchild, Brandy Harris.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Whightsil of Topeka, Kan.; a son, Kenneth English of Altus; two sisters, Wilma Middlebrook of Springdale and Lorene Hyde of Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Altus Baptist Church, with Rev. Chuck Starnes officiating. Burial was at Nichols Chapel Cemetery, Altus, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Ray and Gary English, Kevin and Brandon Whightsil, Chris Walthall and Scott Murry.
Honorary pallbearers were Chris Daniels, Daniel Pruitt, Keith Allred, Norma and Beverly Nichols.
