Sue English, 78 of Subiaco, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Subiaco.
She was born May 2, 1938 in Hunt, Arkansas to Cleo and Alpha Clark Hyder.

She was a Homemaker, attended Assembly of God Church in Paris, Arkansas, and was a member of the Elm Street Golden Years Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth English, and a granddaughter, Brandy Renee.

Sue enjoyed cooking big family meals, playing bingo with Juanita; going to Branson with her sister Phyllis, planting a garden, quilting, and running around with her best friend Aline (Thelma & Louise).

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ray English and wife Juanita of Ozark, Arkansas and Gary English and wife Gwen of Altus, Arkansas; a daughter, Brenda Phillips and husband Randy of Subiaco; three sisters, Connie Bartlett of Altus, Janice Qualls and Phillis Sisco, both of Clarksville, Arkansas; a brother, Dennis Hyder of Hunt, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren: Christa English, Raelyn and Chris Wathall, Misty Daniels, Brittany and William Torix, Melissa and Scott Murry, Jessica and Shawn Ludwick, Shanda Phillips, Stephen and Kaylee Allred, Tyler Allred, Mary Selph, and Casie Watkins; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenny Maness officiating and burial at Nichols Chapel Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Stephen and Tyler Allred, Garrett and Trevor Ramsey, William Torix, and Scott Murry. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Shawn Ludwick, Chris Wathall, Michael Shrum, Keith Allred and Brian Moffitt.
