Nina Bess Hoggard, of Enola, Arkansas died Monday, September 26, 2005 in her home at the age of 81. She was born September 25th, 1924 in Quitman to the late E.T. and Mary Langston Herring. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Guice Herndon Hoggard. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters: Rebecca Linn Brewer and Marie Annette Leach of Enola, Nancy Louise Mauldin of Wooster and Mary Ellen Murray of Greenbrier; by son: Jesse Herndon Hoggard of Enola; twelve grandchildren, nine brothers and sisters: Lola Kennedy, Clestine Goodwin and Mary Lois Clark of Conway, Harrel Herring and Willie Mae Karber of NLR, Menta Faye Skinner, Ernestine Mauldin and Carrol Herring of Quitman and Burton Herring of Shorter, Alabama.
Pallbearers were son-in-laws and grandsons: Doyne Brewer, Johnny Mauldin, Kim Leach, David Murray, Jody Brewer, Blake Mauldin, Matthew Leach, Marcus Leach, Shane Murray, Caleb Hoggard and Madison Leach. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters: Erica Hoggard, Jessica Anderson, Elisha Murray, Lori Hoggard and Allison Leach.
