Vera Faye Hodges, age 74 of Midway passed away Saturday at the Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born December 20, 1930 in Gassville to the late James “Sidney” and Ethel (Morris) Stafford. She was a lifetime resident.
Mrs. Hodges was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She married Don Hodges on March 28, 1947 in Gassville, he survives of the home. Other survivors are three sons: Gordon Hodges and wife Julia of Midway, Dennis Hodges and wife Mona of Mountain Home, Guy Hodges and wife Pat of Fair Grove, Missouri, two daughters: Elaine Elliott and husband Charlie of Gassville, Ellen Hutchison and husband Lynn of Cotter, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one brother Walter Stafford of Diggins, Missouri. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Roller Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Moon officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from noon - 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Roller Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Midway Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
