Don W. Hodges, age 94 of Midway passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 in Mountain Home. He was born December 29, 1921 at Amos, Arkansas to the late William Henry and Clara Ann (Farris) Hodges. He was a lifetime resident and a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hodges was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He married Vera Faye Stafford on March 28, 1947 in Gassville. Survivors are three sons: Gordon Hodges and wife Julia of Lakeview, Dennis Hodges and wife Mona of Gassville, Guy Hodges and wife Pat of Flippin, two daughters: Elaine Elliott of Mountain Home and Ellen Hutchison and husband Lynn of Cotter, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one brother, Albert Hodges of Hermosa Beach, California, and one brother-in-law, Walter Stafford of Diggins, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home, with Brother Marshall Lum officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 7 from Noon - 9:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Roller Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Monkey Run.
Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
