Jackson
Marvin Glen Jackson of Franklin, son of the late Hamblin Manley and Arie Wallace Jackson, was born on September 18, 1937, in Franklin. He died on October 3, 2001, in Horseshoe Bend. He was 64.
Mr. Jackson was united in marriage to Darlene Campbell on January 14, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962. During his working years, he was a long distance truck driver. Marvin was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife: Darlene Jackson of the home; one daughter: Sandra Burbank of Kansas City, Kansas; two sons, Terry Jackson of Florida; and Chris Jackson of Nebraska; one sister, Retha O'Neal of Violet Hill; therr brothers, Lehman Jackson of Franklin; Bartus Jackson of North Carolina; and Doris Wayne Jackson of Kansss City, Kansas; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joyce McCollum Jackson; and one sister Pauline HIll.
Funeral services were October 6, 2001, at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Randy Scaggs officiating. Pallbearers were Doyle McCollum, David McCollum, Thomas Hellums, Bill Hellums, Charles Kimble, and Edwared Bates, Honorary pallbearer: Robert Denny.
Interment was at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
