Born November 17, 1940, Franklin, Izard County, Arkansas.
Died May 6, 2001, Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, Washington.
Son of William Hoyt & Dovie Tate Jackson.
Husband of Judi Jackson.
Note: On the back of the double gravetone for his parents, William Hoyt Jackson & Dovie Tate Jackson, the inscription lists he and his sister's names; however, his birth and death date are also included. As such it appears that his cremains were placed at his parents' gravesite.
White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas:
Billy Wayne Jackson of Hoquiam, Washington, son of William Hoyt and Dovie Tate Jackson was born November 17, 1940 at Franklin. He died May 6, 2001 in Aberdeen, Washington. He was 60.
Mr. Jackson attended school in Arkansas, Idaho, and California. In his working years he worked for the Pole Verde Irrigation District in Blythe, California and for 22 years at Canadian Shake Mills on the Washington Coast. He retired in 1990 and worked on his rentals until respiratory problems made that impossible. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Jackson of Hoquiam, Washington; four sons, Russell Jackson, Randy Jackson and Bill Jackson all of Melbourne and Terry Jackson of Central Park, Aberdeen, Washington; three step-daughters, Darla Bisbee and Leah Griffiths of Hoquiam, Washington and Nikki Claussen of Spokane, Washington; his parents Hoyt and Dovie Jackson of Sage, one sister, Elwanda Jackson Kimble of Sage; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elwanda Lee Jackson and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service was held May 9, 2001 at the Aberdeen, Washington, Eagles Club.
A local memorial service will be help Sunday, May 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his parents in Sage. Bobby Joe Tate will perform the eulogy.
