CAVE CITY - Mary Carroll Pierce, 77, of Ravenden, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at a local hospital.

Born Oct. 20, 1923, near Snow Lake, she was a retired depot agent for the Frisco Railroad. She was a member of the Ravenden Church of Christ.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Leigh Ann Pierce of Ash Flat; a daughter-in-law, Joann Pierce of Ash Flat.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Pierce; and a son, Howard Franklin Pierce.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Ravenden Church of Christ at Ravenden with Harold Littrell officiating. Burial was at the Opposition Cemetery at Ravenden with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were James Ray Wells, Jerry Wells, John Hamm, Wendell Morris, David Brown and Mack Ellis.

Honorary pallbearer was Larry Gibbons.
