The Baxter Bulletin
December 22, 1977
Robert A. Whitfield, 77, a resident of Mt. Home, died Thursday at Maplewood Farms Nursing Home. A retired railroader for Missouri-Pacfic and a farmer, he lived in Baxter County most of his life. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Whitfield was born April 23, 1900 in Iuka, to the late Jackson and Lizzie McCurley Whitfield.
Survivors include one sister Rose A. Parnell of Mt. Home; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Kirby-Blevins Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jack Kwok of East Side Baptist Chruch.
Pallbearers were Eddie Hall, Doug Reeves, Joe Reeves, Roe Whitfield, Jack Whitfield and Delmar Sanders.
Interment took place at the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork under the direction of Kirby-Blevins Funeral Home in Mt. Home.
