Daisy Porter died Friday, November 9, 2007 in Mountain Home. She was 95. Daisy Porter was born Friday, August 23, 1912 in Henderson, AR, daughter of Arthur J. Talburt and Louisa Hughes. She married Neely Porter on August 20, 1928 at Henderson. She worked as a Mail Carrier and Homemaker and loved cooking, gardening, family and friends. Daisy was a lifetime resident of Henderson.
Survivors: Son, Edwin Porter of Mountain Home, AR; Daughters, Elsie Borgeson of Henderson, AR, Mary (Harry) Emerson of Henderson, AR, and Katherine Craig of Atlanta , GA; 13 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter.
Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband, 1 son, David Porter, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, son-in-law, Dean Borgeson and daughter-in-law, Redith Porter.
Visitation: 4-6 P.M., Sunday, November 11 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Funeral: Funeral Services for Daisy Almo Porter of Henderson, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 12, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Henderson, with Rev. Van Brown officiating.
Burial: Custer-Herron Cemetery, Gepp, AR
Memorials: Mountain Home Food Basket in lieu of flowers.
Honorary Bearers: Corey Emerson, Jared Porter, and Gregory Porter.
Active Bearers: Kirk and Klark Emerson, Tyler Bates, Jared and Justin Wilhite and Brandon Comstock.
