CHAMBERS, Eliza A. DEARTH - Mrs. Eliza A. Chambers (nee Dearth) was born at Dayton, Ohio September 27, 1835 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Kliner, one mile north of Rogers, at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, aged 74 years, 5 months, 4 days. When she was 19 years old she was married to J.T. Chambers and to this union were born ten children, five boys and five girls, eight of whom are living. Those living are T.W. Chambers and C.C. Chambers of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Ira Chambers of Bentonville and Mrs. Harry Kliner of Rogers, Ark.; Mrs. F.G. Warren and Mrs. Wm. Utsler of Chickasha, Okla.; Mrs. Nora Moody of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. Maggie Bryant of New Virginia, Iowa. The first four named were present at the funeral. Her husband departed this life December 27, 1898, since which time she has been very lonely and has gradually declined in health. When she was about thirteen years old she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church since which time she has lived a faithful Christian life. She was at the time of her death a member of the Central M.E. Church, South in Ft. Smith. She was so devoted to her faith in Christ that she bore her loneliness and sufferings without murmuring or complaining.
