WILKERSON, J.H. {from Central) Again the death angel has called away from our midst another one of earth's jewels - J.H. Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson was born Sept. 22, 1858 and died at his home March 31 at 6 a.m. He confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when 18 years old and was faithful to his church. He was at the time of his death a steward of the M.E. church at Buttram Chapel. He has gone to enjoy that heavenly home prepared for those who are faithful and always ready to do something for His cause. He was the father of ten children, six of whom are living, his wife having gone to live with Jesus two years ago. Mr. Wilkerson was ready to go. Funeral services were conducted by Y.A. Gilmore and I.T. Rice and the remains were laid to its last resting place.
