ROGERS — James Thomas "Tom" Wilkerson, 84, of Rogers died May 15, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born July 11, 1921, in the Bestwater community to Columbus "Clum" Wolford and Bettie Ross Wilkerson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded a Bronze Medal and sharpshooter rifleman’s badge and combat infantryman’s badge. He was a lifetime resident of Benton County and was a livestock dealer.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jonnie Wilkerson; two sons, Charles David Wilkerson of Rogers and Dr. Danny Wilkerson and wife Sue Ellen of Little Rock; one daughter, Patsy Sooter of Bentonville; one brother, Guy J. Wilkerson of Bentonville; two sisters, Mary Jean Creech of Rogers and Sarah Edna Key of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers with Dr. William Rail officiating.

Pallbearers will be C.W. Wilkerson, Jerry Wilkerson, Brently Wilkerson, Keith Ferguson, Freddie Baggett and Eugene Rounds.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Clinton, Dr. John Clower and Dr. Andrew "Jamie" Lueders.

Jonnie Luella Wilkerson, 79, of Rogers died July 17, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Fred Ausburn and Leslie Florence Harkey Malone.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, the outdoors and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Tom" Wilkerson.

Survivors include two sons; a daughter; a brother; a sister; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, online at www.mem.com
