JENKINS, Jennie JACKSON - Mrs. Jennie Jenkins, who has been in poor health owing to age and infirmities, passed away Wednesday morning Aug. 13, 1913 aged almost 77 years. Mrs. Jenkins, who was Miss Jennie Jackson, was born Sept. 10, 1836 at Fort Wayne, Ind. She was the widow of Sylvester Jenkins, respected citizen of Gravette, who died at a ripe age on Jan. 28, 1908. Mrs. Jenkins was the mother of 9 boys, seven of who survive her; George and Glen being here when she passed away. She was a member of the Christian church, a kind neighbor and parent and will be missed by all who knew her. Rev. G.A. Wilson conducted the funeral today, Thursday, at 1 p.m. at the Methodist church and the body will rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the community.
