Calvin D McLaughlin the son of William Jackson McLaughlin and Minnie Ann (Propst) McLaughlin. Anna Lorene (Smith) McLaughlin the daughter of Francis Marion Smith and Hattie Paralee (Guntharp) Smith.

Anna Lorene McLaughlin, 90, of Black Rock, died April 22, 2004, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.
Born July 16, 1913, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Francis Marion and Hattie Paralee Guntharp Smith. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook for Williams Baptist College and Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin McLaughlin, on June 29, 1996, whom she married May 14, 1930, in Powhatan; three brothers, Everett Smith, Elmer "Buck" Smith and Pete Smith; a grandchild; and a great-great-grandchild.
Survivors include a son, Calvin "Bud" McLaughlin, Romance; three daughters, Jackie Baldridge and Carolyn Hester, both of Black Rock, and Calverine Hill, Imboden; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock with Rev. Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial was in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Marvil Hill Jr., Steve Baldridge, Greg Hester, Scott Hester, Buddy McLaughlin and Ray Quick.
