Obit* Mary Elizabeth Davis, a resident of Bay, died June 6, 1990 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 17 days at the Baxter County Regional Medical Center in Mtn. Home.
She was born March 19, 1906 in Hardy, the daughter of the late Eugene and Sarah Ann King Powell. She was married to E.L. Davis Sr. on Dec. 27, 1924. He preceded her in death May 7, 1972. She was a housewife, a member of the Bay Garden Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bay
Survivors include a son., E.L. Davis Jr of St. Joseph MI, four daughters, Juanita Osborn of Benton Harbor, MI., Ruby Davis of Pamona, Ca, Lavena Burton of Laverne CA., and Lois Jean Brooks of Mtn Home; three brothers, Elmus Powell and Cleo Powell, both of Payson, AZ, and Milton Powell of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Lucy Baird of Thorntown, Mo; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 9, 1990 at 1 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Bay with Martin Passmore and Carolyn Passmore officiating. Burial was in the Walker Cemetery at Hardy under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.
