Obit* Ether Leroy Davis, aged 68, of Bay, Arkansas, a retired carpenter, died Sunday, May 7, (1972). He was born at Hardy, Arkansas. Mr. Davis was a member of the Re-Organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include; his wife, Mary Powell Davis; a son, Ether Leroy Davis, Jr; four daughters; Mrs. Juanita Osborn of Benton Harbor, Michigan; Mrs. Leavena Burton of Laverne, Calif., Miss Ruby Davis of Pomona, California and Mrs. Lois Jean Brooks of Jonesboro; a brother, Almus Davis of Salem, Missouri; two sisters; Mrs. Antha Rogers of Hardy and Mrs. Stella Highley of Holden, Missouri; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral was at 1 PM Tuesday, May 9 at the First Baptist Church at Bay. Burial was at Walker Cemetery, Hardy, under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge. Pall Bearers were: Newt Tice, Herman Hill, Alvin Hill, Bud Siggers, Tom Cottingham and Charles Burton. (Ether was born July 24, 1903)
