Daughter of Orville Alva Miler & Minnie Alice Shootman Miler.
Married Carl Virgil Melton, August 6, 1938, Broomfield, Colorado.

Elva Lorraine Melton of Calico Rock, daughter of the late Orville Alva and Minnie Alice Shootman Miller, was born December 7, 1918, in Broadwater, Nebraska, and died June 2, 1996, in Calico Rock.
She was 77.
Mrs. Melton was united in marriage to Carl Virgil Melton on August 6, 1938, in Broomfield, Colorado.
Mrs. Melton was a member of the Calico rock United Methodist Church, the Calico Rock Hospital Auxiliary, VFW, American Garden Club, United Methodist Women's EHC Club, Blood Bank, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Beverly Doyle of Mayflower, and Sharon Carsrud of Fort Collins, Colorado; one son, Gerald Melton of Salesville; two sisters Opal Gammel of Broomfield, Colorado, and Thelma Wood of Aurora, Colorado; and one brother, Orvill Miller of Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Services were held June 5, 1996, at the Howard Chapel in Calico Rock with Brother Rodney Aist officiating.
Pallbearers were Carl Stapleton, Kenny Stapleton, Dean Hoke, Philip Doyle, Troyce May, and Hoot Rush.
Interment was at the Galatia Cemetery in Old Joe under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Memorials may be made to the Home Helth-Hospice at the Medical Center of Calico Rock.
