Whitmire
WALNUT RIDGE -- Kimberly Jean Whitmire, 44, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Friday, Sept. 5, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Walnut Ridge, she was employed as a typesetter with the Kansas City Star newspaper and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Remmers of Kansas City; her parents, Dizzy and Patricia Whitmire of Walnut Ridge; one sister, Cheryl Mathews of Kansas City, Kan.; one brother, Robert Whitmire of Walnut Ridge; two grandchildren; and her grandmother, Christine McCormick of Walnut Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Boyd Whitmire, and her maternal grandparents, Otto and Della Ludwig.
The body will be cremated and no services have been planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.
