Died April 21, 1971, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Son of Lunie Gilbert Pruitt and Minnie Jane Arnold Pruitt.
Married Willie Thelma Helton on June 26, 1938.

Phillip Amon Pruitt, 58, a Mt. Home merchant, died Wednesday of last week at his residence at 404 South St. A lifetime resident of this area, he was a member of the Jehovah''s Witnesses.
The son of Lonie G. Pruitt and Minnie Jane Arnold Pruitt, he was born Aug 27, 1912, in Baxter County. He was married to Willie Thelma Helton on June 26, 1938
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Pruitt of Mt. Home; a brother, Henry Pruitt of Old Joe; and two sisters, Mrs. Ada McGowen of Kansas City, MO and Mrs. Mavis Hare of Omaha, NE.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the old Galatia Methodist Church near Norfork, and interment was in the Galatia Cemetery. Seth Dickerson, a minister of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiated and McClure-Smith was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were W.S. Benbrook, Leroy Null, Dale Hall, Johnny Bowman, K.C. Wilson, Colbert Wilson and L.M. Wilson.
