Alfred W. Pruitt, 75, of the Monkey Run community died April 7 at his residence. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of the area.
Born Nov. 22, 1912 at Amos, Ark., he was the son of Laura (Hodges) and James Daniel Pruitt. On December 11, 1932 he married Euna May Hopper at Gassville. She survives him.
Other survivors are two brothers, Howard Pruitt of Mountain Home and Dave Pruitt of Kingston, N. Y. and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Pruitt was a member of the Lakeview Freewill Baptist Church.
Services were held April 10 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Gregg officiating. Pallbearers were Harvey Smith, Bobby Carson, Gale Swetnam, Junior Treat, Keith Partee and Billy Roy Griffith.
Burial was in the Pilgrim's Rest cemetery with arrangements by Roller Funeral Home.
