Husband of Mary L. Cook Perry.
James C. Perry was born in Tennessee around 1869. He was apparently orphaned at a very early age. He and his older brother, Jessie, migrated to Arkansas with some friends and neighbors. The group traveled by wagon during the winter. James and his brother walked all the way. He wrapped his feet in burlap sacks with bark tied on them to keep his feet from freezing. He and Mary L. Cook Perry were the parents of seven sons and three daughters. All of the children except one son were still living at the time James C. Perry's death.
James Perry died July 4, 1951, at Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.
