Theodore R. Short, 73, Bentonville, died Wednesday afternoon at his son's home in Bentonville. He was born June 10, 1901, in Ohio.
Moving to the Bentonville area in 1902, he spent most of his life in the Miller Community. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Short, Bentonville, and Leonard Short, Wasco, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. John Williams, Mrs. Chester Williams, Mrs. J.P. Looney and Miss Florence Short, all of Bentonville; one brother, Wesley Short, Bentonville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Callison and McKinney Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville with the Rev. Joe Northcutt officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.

Bentonville - Mrs. Thelma Rose Short, 48, of Fort Smith and formerly of Bentonville, died Sunday night. She was born in Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore of Bentonville; two sons, Leonard of Wasco, Calif. and Wayne of Bentonville; three sisters, Mrs. L. D. Glenn of Russellville, Ky., Mrs. George Dubush of Pittsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Hobert Allen of Tulsa; two brothers, Ray Watherall of Provo, Utah and Leroy Ruminer of Seminole, Okla. and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Callison-McKinney Chapel; burial in Miller Cemetery.
