William Earl Sharp of Brockwell, son of the late John Wesley Sharp and Minnie Bell Callahan was born December 29, 1906, in Tuckerman. He died Sept 29, 1995, at Calico Rock. He was 88.
Mr. Sharp was united in marriage to Willie Floyd on December 1, 1933 in Tuckerman. He spent his life as a farmer and was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church of Oxford.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Glenda Hopper and Linda Harrington, both of Mt. Home; three sons, Bill Sharp of Evening Shade, David and Sam Sharp, both of Melbourne; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William Paul, one brother, and three sisters.
Services were held October 1 at Brockwell Tabernacle in Brockwell with Brother Dwayne Flood officiating.
Pallbearers were Jack Blankenship, Steve Blankenship, Junior Majors, Wilson Teague, Kenard Dockins, Vern Garner and E.F. (Son) Lamb. Honorary pallbeares are Jerry Dean Hopper, Matt Harrington, John Sharp and Sam Sharp.
Interment was at Owens Cemetery in Brockwell under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
