Willie Irene Floyd Sharp of Bandmill, daughter of the late L.I. and Eulu Herndon Floyd, died October 9, 1999, at her home. She was 89.
Mrs. sharp was united in marriage with Earl Sharp December 1, 1933, in Tuckerman. She was a lifelong resident of Bandmill, where she and her late husband raised four children. she enjoyed farming, cooking and homemakeing. She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church and especially enjoyed gospel music. Her entire life was devoted to making others happy and taking care of her garden and fmaily.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Raydon Harrington of Mt. Home, and Glenda and Jerry Hopper of Mt. Home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Sharp of Melbourne and Dave and Judy Sharp of Melbourne; one stepson, Bill Sharp of Evening Shade; six sisters, Reba Staggs of Independence, Missouri, Cassie Creighton of Batesville, Margie Eaton of Indianapolis, Indiana, Anna Davis of Melborne, Erma Guiltner of Brockwell and Sharon Guffin of Memphis, Tennessee; four brothers, D.T. Floyd of Independence, Missouri, Demelee Floyd Mt. Home, Wayne Floyd of Independence, Missouri, and Benny Floyd of California; seven grandchildren, Alisa Sanders, Jr. of Melbourne, Sam Sharp, Jr. of Melbourne, John David Sharp of Springdale, Stephanie Hickerson of Melbourne, Susan Sharp of Jonsesboro, Matt Harrington of Cabot, and Jerry Dean Hopper of Mt. Home; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, two brothers, four sisters and one stepsister.
Funeral services were held October 12, 1999 at the Brockwell Tabernacle with Duane Flood officiating. Pallbearers were Alisa Sander, Stephanie Hickerson, Sam Sharp, John Sharp, Matt Harrington, Jerry Dean Hopper and Susan Sharp.
Interment was in Owens Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
