Siloam Springs -- Mrs. Laura Bell Yates, 80, of Cherokee City died at Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs Thursday. She was born in Crown Point, Ind., and has been a resident of Benton County for the past 70 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Cherokee City.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Cole of Houston, Tex., and Elton of Peoria, Ariz.; one daughter, Ima Alfrey of Colcord, Okla.; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Etta Howerton of Siloam Springs.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. in the Cherokee City Baptist Church: burial in Dixon cemetery under direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
