SHAW, John - (from Cherokee City) Death has been very busy in this community of late and this time knocked at the door of John Shaw, who died Friday, March 13 with asthma, being sick only about six days. His relatives had noticed by his appearance that he was rapidly losing health and that death was not far off and by reason of strength he lived more than four score, being at the time of his death 88 years and some months of age. He was born in Canada. He leaves an aged wife, six sons and one daughter, two being here; the others in other states. The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Setser officiating. Interment was made in the Dickson cemetery.
