Thursday, August 18, 1927
SHAW, Nellie - Miss Nellie Shaw, who lived alone in her little home southeast of Siloam Springs, committed suicide some time Sunday night by hanging herself with a rope fastened to the bed post. Her dead body was found by neighbors about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. She was about 35 years of age. A brother in Oklahoma is the only known relative.

Siloam Springs, Ark. - Miss Nellie Shaw, about 35 years old, was found dead at her home about one mile southeast of Siloam Springs about 3 p.m. Monday. The body was found hanging from a bed post with a rope around the neck. Officers believed she hanged herself during the night since a light was found burning in the room. The body is being held at Pyatt's Funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements. A brother who lived in Oklahoma is the only known survivor. Miss Shaw lived alone and little is known of her family connections.
