GARFIELD — Georgia Azalea Arnold, 73, of Garfield, died Monday. Jan. 10, 2011, at her home. She was born Aug. 26, 1937, on Indian Creek Road in Arkansas, to the late Walter Dan Davis and Pansy Mae (Snoderly) Davis.
Azalea was a very loving and thoughtful woman, who never forgot anything important to any of her friends or family. She loved to take photos and was an avid family historian. She loved to collect butterflies and her free time was spent in her garden, tending to her flower beds or fishing with those she loved.
Azalea was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Arnold; her parents; two brothers, Wythe and Zelious Davis; and three sisters, Virginia Morrell, Mary Parker and Eudora Tillman.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Davis (JoAnn) of Neosho, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Orvis Parker; two sisters-in-law, Harriet and Ruth Davis; two sons, Ronnie Arnold (Katrina) of Pineville, Mo., and Johnny Arnold (Kathy) of Bentonville; one daughter, DeLinda Hufford (Vince) of Garfield; 11 grandchildren, Annie, Ronnie, Levi, Richard, LaTasha, Zacc, Jenessa, Maliah, Kaisha, Wyatt and Ricky; and seven great-grandchildren, Kolby, Terra, Cassie, Lauren, Jacob, Natalie and Peyton.
Funeral services for Azalea will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Eastside Assembly of God Church. with Pastor Robert Ward officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
