Life-Long Oxford Resident Dies
W. M. Martin, aged 92 years, 6 months, and 4 days, died at his home in Oxford on Sunday, June 17, 1956.
W. M. was a retired merchant and a Methodist. He is survived by two sons, Joe of Washington and Tom of Shawnee, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. H. B. Tatum of the home, Mrs. L. S. Rowden of West Plains and Mrs. Dick Reeves of Melbourne, 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Presbyterian Church at Oxford with Rev. Lloyd Conyers of Batesville officiating.
Burial was in Oxford Cemetery under the direction of the Hall Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Paul Grills, Remmel Rowden, Earl McVey, Earl Edmonston, Alvie Langston and Hayden Helm.
