Lotha Martin, daughter of Mrs. Kee Jane Powell Cantrell and the late Walter D. Cantrell of Oxford was born at Pineville, June 13, 1914. She departed this life in her home on April 9, 1979 at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 27 days.

She was united in marriage to Noel P. Martin in Oxford August 1, 1931 and to this union two children were born.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of the home; two daughters, Joanne Weston of Independence, Mo., and Jeanette Everett of Melbourne; her mother Kee Jane Cantrell; seven sisters, Lois Caruthers, Oxford; Maybell Martin, Oxford, Adell Standerford, Wenatchee, Wash.; Ruby Mooney, Glencoe, Willie Rains, E. Wenatchee; and Lenora Yancey of Oxford; (shows 7 sisters but list 6) one brother, Roe Cantrell of Independence, Mo., three grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

She was affiliated with the Oxford Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at the Oxford Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Bourgeois of Melbourne officiating. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Doyle Martin, Billy Martin Jackie Yancey, Junior Caruthers, Jim Cantrell and Carl Cantrell.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Leland Carter Funeral Home of Salem.
