It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Stewart on December 8, 2024. Deborah was born on January 20, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Her free spirit, courage, compassion, and deep love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Kerridon Stewart McGarity Harrison, and son-in-law, David Harrison; her sister, Mary Beth Perez, and brother-in-law, Boris Perez; along with many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby McGarity, and Johnny L. Stewart. She was also preceded by six brothers: John Allen Stewart, Charles Gordon Stewart, Donald Bruce Stewart, Gene Merle Stewart, Billy Dale Stewart, and Michael Steven Stewart.
Deborah spent many years working in public relations, where she had the privilege of meeting countless people and forming lifelong friendships. With a heart full of generosity, she was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Family meant the world to Deborah, and she dedicated herself to showing care and affection for her loved ones.
She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of her life will be announced later for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Deborah’s name.
